Summer Internship

A collaborative program by Create vs Consume & Legacy Circle.

The Emerging Roots Summer Internship is a dynamic 6-week hybrid program for high school students (ages 14–17) from Black and Brown communities who are passionate about entrepreneurship, storytelling, and creative media. In collaboration with Legacy Circle, this opportunity offers real-world exposure to professional environments through Community Cultivation Network (CCN) studios and leadership.

Who we are?

Legacy Circle is a podcast and community providing resources that promote and propel the legacy for black and brown people. CCN is a production studio that empowers brands and creatives through services such as video production, event management, and venue rental.

Program Dates:

June 17th-August 1st

Location(for in-studio days):

CCN STUDIO-5510 Lawndale St, Houston TX 77023

Eligibility:

*High school students ages 14–17 * Identify as Black or Brown
*Curious about entrepreneurship, creative careers, and media production
*Must be available for the full 6-week duration

Internship Structure

Tuesdays (Virtual)
 🖥️ 1:00 – 3:00 PM
 Meet virtually with CCN leadership for weekly education sessions, project planning, and mentorship.

Wednesdays & Thursdays (In-Studio)
 🏢 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
 Hands-on studio experience at CCN, working directly with creatives, entrepreneurs, and media clients.

Fridays (Virtual)
 🌐 Time TBD
 Reflective group sessions led by Legacy Circle, featuring guest speakers and in-depth discussions about the week's theme.

    Note: Interns will cover similar content to the Create vs Consume summer camp, but with added professional-level, hands-on learning.
